Digital Strategy Director
Deutsch LA is looking for a digital strategist with director level experience to lead the discipline of platform, product, and innovation strategy across multiple accounts at the agency, including Taco Bell, Volkswagen, 7-Eleven, and other project-based work for companies like Microsoft and eSurance.
This person will work collaboratively on a team with user experience experts, digital designers, platform creative directors, and brand planning counterparts. They will function as the go-to thought leader for all things platform and utility across a brand’s digital ecosystem, inclusive of websites, apps, mobile integrations, and other innovations such as AR and VR projects. The candidate should be capable of evaluating the function and effectiveness of any component of these touchpoints as it relates to the user need states across the shopping journey and should be able to translate this understanding into inspiring strategies that nudge the team toward award-winning creative innovation.
Technically, this role should be able to write personas, user stories, contribute to MVP definition against business KPIs, should be able to do acceptance and field testing of features in development, should be able to create briefs grounded in user needs, and should be able to align feature sets to business goals with considerations for budget and development effort.
The candidate should be a creative storyteller and insightful researcher whose excitement for digital thinking is apparent in everything they do. They must be able to demonstrate a passion to solve complex platform challenges in unique ways that inspire forward-thinking creativity. This role is ideal for someone who believes that a user-first approach can be the path to both innovation and brand goals. This role will report directly to the agency’s EVP, Director of Digital Strategy.
