Position Overview
The Freelance LinkedIn Paid Social Buyer supports multiple account teams and is responsible for hands-on execution, optimization, pacing, and reporting of paid social campaigns. This role will primarily support B2B marketing initiatives, with a strong focus on LinkedIn as a core platform.

This individual will play a critical role in onboarding a new client, requiring deep in-platform buying experience, strong audience strategy expertise, and familiarity with CRM and third-party data integrations. The ideal candidate has experience building and activating sophisticated audiences, understands platform-specific targeting nuances, and can connect top-of-funnel efforts to downstream performance across MOFU and BOFU initiatives.

Campaign Planning & Audience Strategy
  • Translate campaign objectives and audience strategy into platform-specific execution, primarily within LinkedIn
  • Lead development of top-of-funnel (TOFU) campaigns designed to drive awareness and qualified demand
  • Build and refine audience strategies using first-party (CRM) and third-party data sources
  • Develop scalable prospecting and retargeting frameworks aligned to full-funnel marketing efforts
  • Understand and apply platform-specific targeting nuances (job title, company, seniority, ABM, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to test audience segments, creative formats, and bidding strategies

Platform Execution & Data Integration
  • Execute end-to-end campaign builds directly in-platform (LinkedIn required; Meta a plus)
  • Experience onboarding and utilizing third-party (3P) data, CRM and audience-enhanced data for targeting and segmentation strongly preferred
  • Build and manage matched audiences, retargeting pools, and lookalike audiences
  • Ensure accurate tracking, tagging, and QA across campaigns

Campaign Stewardship & Optimization
  • Manage day-to-day performance across multiple campaigns and accounts
  • Optimize toward TOFU KPIs while aligning with downstream performance goals
  • Monitor pacing, delivery, and efficiency to maximize reach and engagement
  • Troubleshoot delivery or performance issues and implement optimizations

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with client teams to ensure alignment between TOFU efforts and in-house MOFU/BOFU campaigns
  • Maintain strong, ongoing communication with LinkedIn platform reps to leverage insights, beta opportunities, and best practices
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure proper tracking, measurement, and reporting alignment

Billing & Budget Management
  • Monitor pacing and budget allocation across campaigns
  • Track spend, reconcile budgets, and manage data-related costs (including 3P data fees) 
  • Flag discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy across campaigns

Reporting & Insights
  • Develop and deliver reporting on campaign performance, with a focus on upper-funnel metrics and audience insights
  • Connect TOFU performance to broader funnel impact where possible
  • Communicate performance insights, optimizations, and recommendations clearly to internal teams

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on paid social experience with strong in-platform buying expertise
  • Deep experience managing LinkedIn campaigns for B2B audiences
  • Proven experience onboarding and activating CRM and/or third-party (3P) data within LinkedIn
  • Experience building advanced audiences and understanding platform targeting nuances
  • Experience supporting or aligning with full-funnel strategies (TOFU → MOFU → BOFU)
  • Strong understanding of demand generation and B2B audience strategy
  • Experience working closely with platform reps (LinkedIn preferred)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail with proven ability to QA and manage campaigns at scale

Rate
$1,500-$2,000 per week
