Role:
The Media Supervisor will help set the strategic direction for our media plans and assist in selling them to our clients. They work with the media team to come up with insights and analysis that help shape the placement of media across campaigns. They are intimately involved in the development of the digital media buys, as well as stewardship of other media elements, including national TV. They also lead the charge on training and guiding planners to effectively manage assistants.
Responsibilities:
- Strong involvement in media plan development, and implementation across both digital and traditional national media
- Plays a leading role in all aspects of campaign management including vendor liaison, reporting and recommending optimizations to the client
- Training/support for media planners and assistant planners in billing, pacing, reporting, trafficking, analytics and research
- Helps planners hone management and leaderships skills, especially in training assistants
- Oversees negotiations of buys, makegoods, added value across all campaigns
- Develops the strategy, targeting and goal-setting across ad-hoc campaigns and oversees execution and reporting of said campaigns
- Stays up to date on new changes in the broader media and social landscapes
- Creates insightful and visual presentations that effectively communicate to our clients
- Extracts actionable insights from syndicated data sources like MRI, Comscore, MediaRadar, YouGov, etc.
- Works with BI team on digital reporting and helps find insights in the data
- Oversees quarterly competitive reports
- Assists in the presentation of data, insights and media to our clients
- Attends and presents updates at weekly client status meetings, and holds a strong rapport with the clients
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Media Planning experience required (integrated background is preferred)
- Understands how to use data for targeting and how to work with third party data
- Basic understanding of national TV planning, ideally including DRTV
- Extensive digital background with planning and buying across Streaming, OLV, Display (both direct and managed service programmatic buys)
- Understanding of digital reporting across the funnel
- Understanding of measurement solutions (brand metrics, brand lift studies, attention vendors, etc.) and the process of setting up campaigns with measurement tags
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Detail-oriented
- 1 – 2 years managerial experience
- Planning social campaigns including YouTube a big plus but not required
Compensation:
Deutsch offers top of the line benefits, 401K, unlimited PTO and more. The salary range for this role is $80,000-$90,000. The pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
