Alter Analysis

The Alter command is used to modify any parameter within the circuit file. These altered parameters are then applied to the types of analyses as specified within the circuit file.

Button Description
Add Adds an alter command to the command list. An identical command will not be entered again.
Delete Deletes the selected alter command.
Cancel Brings no further action, but all the alter commands will still be saved.
OKSaves all the alter commands. New simulations will be run accordingly.

 

There are six different types of variables can be altered, they are:

There is no limitation on the number of alter commands, or the number of alter values. They can be different from command to command. The total number of simulations is determined by the maximum number of alter values specified. Any Alter commands with fewer values then the maximum number will use the last altered value for the remainder of the simulations.

Think of the collection of Alter commands as being a 2 dimensional table where the rows of the table represent various Alter commands and the columns represent values of the parameters. For each column of the table, a simulation will be run.
